Lisa Bzowski is a mother to an imaginative and brave toddler. She enjoys small town vacations, visiting parks and historical sights, and finding locally written children’s books to share with her daughter. Lisa created this story to inspire families to visit new places and let children lead the way through their very own adventures. Lisa lives in Rock Hill, SC with her husband, daughter, and two rescue animals.
Katya Engalichev is a 2020 graduate of Winthrop University. Originally from New Hampshire, she treasured her years in South Carolina and hopes to always maintain a connection to Rock Hill.
Katya now works in psychiatric care and volunteers as an EMT, but is always excited by an opportunity to create art — especially when it involves animals. The characterization of the dog in this book was inspired by her family’s German Shepard, Tachka.
