Katya Engalichev is a 2020 graduate of Winthrop University. Originally from New Hampshire, she treasured her years in South Carolina and hopes to always maintain a connection to Rock Hill.

Katya now works in psychiatric care and volunteers as an EMT, but is always excited by an opportunity to create art — especially when it involves animals. The characterization of the dog in this book was inspired by her family’s German Shepard, Tachka.
